File Description: 97.46 nVidia Linux Display Driver

nVidia Linux Display Driver is the OpenGL nVidia support for graphic cards on Linux operating systems.
To install:
Type "sh NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-8774-pkg1.run" to install the driver. NVIDIA now provides a utility to assist you with configuration of your X config file.

File Description: This is the 76.67 Driver package for 32 bit linux. This driver has very limited support for Nvidia cards that are older than the Geforce FX generation, so if you own one of those older cards, you will be better off using the 53.36 or 44.96 driver. To install this driver: If you have a working X config file for a different driver (such as the "nv" or "vesa" driver), then simply edit the file as follows. Remove the line: Driver "nv" (or Driver "vesa") (or Driver "fbdev") and replace it with the line: Driver "nvidia" Remove the following lines: Load "dri" Load "GLCore" In the "Module" section of the file, add the line (if it does not already exist): Load "glx" There are numerous options that may be added to the X config file to tune the NVIDIA X driver. Please see Appendix D for a complete list of these options.
